Born in Habana on 13th July 1979. He started his studies in the schools “Abel Santamaria” and “Renato Guitall” and since he was a child he owned a great talent. His skills in dancing brought him to participate in many important cultural events such as festivals and dancing conventions, where he was called to represent his Schools and Community.

Dawes then developed a long and varied career starting in Cuba dancing in the major theatres there and on some of the most important stages around the world working with major festivals. He later moved to Italy, where he gained success as dancer and choreographer, taking part in major congresses and events across Europe.

In 2004 he joined the Fonts Factory group with his collegues Maikol Fonts, Rayda Salas and Kirenia Cantin, with whom very interesting choreographies were created, embracing a part of the Cuban culture.

Starting from 2006, Dawes followed and organized many cultural events, even oustide of the Latin-American environment, focusing his attention on the whole Panamerican culture and on choreography. Therefore he was called as teacher and supervisor in many schools and organizations in North Italy, and also as special guest in major European stages.

In 2008 the pair Dawes – Rayda resumed under the project CubaRumba.com, where we can finally admire them in a fantastic work on Cuban Folklore.
